A bit about Scouts…
The Scout section is third section of the Group and the first part of Scouting set up by Baden Powell in 1907 . The section is open to both boys and girls between the ages of 10½-14 years. At the 11th Folkestone Scout Troop, meetings are held for two hours on a Friday night (19:00 - 21:00).
The Troop is made up of young members who have moved up from the Cub Pack or those who would have joined Scouting for the first time. Scouts is fun and adventurous and a great place for friendships to be made.
At Scouts, the focus is on fun, socialising and the opportunity to learn skills that the young people might not pick up elsewhere.
Scouts are aged between 10 and a half and 14 years old and abide by the Scout law.
